Hiking in Jersey

So on our first full day up North, Alana took Paige and I to hike by the Delaware Water Gap. I was all for it dreaming of gorgeous views, swimming in natural waterfalls, and a little bit of a workout. Then real life happened. But it was certainly a lot of fun despite having five ticks on me (only me--none on Alana and Paige), seeing a black bear (slightly more terrifying than thrilling for me), and hiking around 7 miles and never finding the waterfalls. It made for some hilarious memories--especially when we asked for directions from these two precious older gentlemen and took our countless little Oreo breaks.

  1. The lovely lavender flowers are called bee balm, or horse mint. Smells good, but isn't really tasty like peppermint or spearmint.
