Raleigh's Big Boy Room
When putting together Raleigh's room, I didn't honestly give the design direction must planning - it really just came together with thoughtful purchases and placements. His "big boy" room looks so different than his completely neutral nursery at our old house, and I love the southwest vibe that came through.
Raleigh's furniture, a vintage mid-century collection of dressers we sourced on Craigslist, plus his crib, came with us to our new space. We transitioned his crib to a toddler bed, inherited the vintage orange tweed chair from Ryan's grandparents' old home, along with the Iron Eyes Cody piece (read more here) by local artist, Bob Timerlake, that had been saved and hiding away at Nana's house. And with only a few additional decor elements, the room now feels cozy and complete.
