Wedding Inspiration: Grand Exits

There are so many different ways to incorporate personal touches and details into your special wedding day, and that doesn't stop when it comes to creating your magical grand exit. It is an ideal opportunity for some incredible pictures, and sets the exciting tone for the remainder of your night together! With all of the fun, new ideas out there, I have gathered just a few of my favorites to share.

Dried lavender is such a great idea. It smells dreamy, is eco-friendly, and goes really well with an earthy or shabby chic event.
What better way to use resources at hand for a gorgeous fall wedding?
Confetti is my favorite (no really--seen here and here)! If you're able to get thin tissue paper confetti then it is easily dissolved with a little water, so there is hardly any clean-up needed.
I am in love with this colorful sprinkles exit! Just pray for no rain as it could turn quickly into a tie dye exit!
Tried and true bubbles are a hit and easily create pretty photos!
Sparklers are incredibly popular right now, just check with your venue to ensure they're allowed!
Although not quite eco-friendly, this makes for bright and super fun pictures of your special day!

And don't forget butterflies, lanterns, paper airplanes, pom poms, flower petals, flags beach balls, silly string, and even feathers! The options are endless--be creative and find something that works for you as a couple and ties in well with the theme or feel of your wedding!

Pinterest Roundup

Although I find myself spending less and less time on Pinterest as my schedule only gets busier, I am still a serious fan, and with 18,000+ pins to prove it I'd love to share a few of my favorites!

1. Gold glitter DIYs have my name written all over them. And how easy (and inexpensive) is that to update your current tape dispenser (and stapler, pen holder, etc..)
2. Mixing your prints for Spring has never been easier with these tips from Best Friends for Frosting!
3. Cocktail printables make bar carts and 5 o'clock drinks extra snazzy!
4. Tamara Taggart's feature on Glitter Guide is home inspiration at its absolute finest.
5. The perfect addition to your Spring picnic--and it's pink!
6. On the hunt for clear contact paper to start dressing up gifts and packages..
7. Sprinkles are what dreams are made of in the new Oh Joy for Land of Nod collection.
8. Lauren's lettering is my absolute favorite (proof here and here), but add lavender watercolor to the mix and I'm in love!
9. Black and White is in this season, and Tory Burch always knows best.

The Fillmore Wedding

When I first started with Sterling Events Group, I began part-time work with the Sterling by Design division out of Charlotte. My first day on the job was an incredible experience as I began with a major install of luxe white velvety pipe and drape to completely transform The Fillmore into a dream wedding venue!

Katrina of Come + Together Events had designed this incredible space, and it was pure magic to see it all come together in time for the ceremony--with gorgeous floral arrangements, fancy linens, grand chandeliers, and talented vendors all around.

After seeing the photos online I have absolutely fallen in love with the photographer duo Steven and Lucy of Smitten and Hooked. I just can't even..they are too cute, and most importantly, their photography is simply amazing! Here is just a preview of their work from Emily and Paul's wedding, but make sure you check out the rest and the list of vendors here and here!

Eep how gorgeous is this couple?!
I got to hear The Dickens Band as they were warming up pre-ceremony and I could tell that they were going to rock it all night!
Playing even just a tiny part in someone's special day is so rewarding, and I am thankful to now be a full-time part of the WinMock team, a division under Sterling Events!

Learning Calligraphy

If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen me practicing calligraphy post-Christmas, celebrating National Handwriting Day here, and even sharing a quick photo of some office inspiration.

I am constantly in awe of the talents of others when it comes to calligraphy and gorgeous hand lettering. Because of my love for this and true desire to learn calligraphy to address thank you notes and our wedding celebration invites, my Mr. bought me a kit and signed me up for Molly Jacques' class on Skillshare!

I highly recommend Molly's class for a basic introduction into calligraphy with some great tips and templates. What's fun is that you can get a $10 discount on her class by clicking here!

Practicing calligraphy takes dedication, and I would one day love to be able to scan in images available as free printables. A girl can dream, right? Until then, check out some of my inspiration and stay tuned for future printables by yours truly.

Here's a little work by Molly herself. I'm in love!
Literally everything Lauren of A Fabulous Fete letters is AMAZING. Check out the Custom Address Stamp she designed for me!
Lindsay Letters is an absolute favorite of mine--and she has such a heart of gold! In love with my inspirational T-shirt from LL seen here and here!
And this gal's lettering is totally dreamy! New Girl fans will understand.
The whimsical letters by Shannon are perfection, and you've seen one of her prints as a Wednesday Pick-Me-Up here.

And lastly, a little peek at a sign I made for my bridal shower this past weekend. It was fun being able to contribute something for the party--especially in the name of champagne!

PS just a few more days to enter my giveaway!

Bridal Shower Recap

This past Saturday my fabulous bridesmaids threw me an amazing bridal shower!
With mint signage in gold frames, yummy parfait, and a bubbly bar the party was such a hit!
The games were entertaining, the brunch delicious, and the champagne flowing--and I loved getting to spend time with my dearest gals for the afternoon! I am so blessed to call them my friends, and I look forward to seeing them by my side and as witnesses when Ryan and I say our vows in front of our loved ones in June!

On top of all the gorgeousness, my sweet best friend Alana flew down from NJ and completely surprised me! I screamed at the absolute top of my lungs and immediately started crying hysterically. I won't share the slightly embarrassing video that was taken, but I am so thankful for her and for the girls that made my surprise possible. I can't imagine doing life without these babes alongside me!
Opening bottle #3. Pop Fizz Clink!
