Thank You Card Finishing Touches

Here is a quick little addition to The Timeless Thank You Card blog post from yesterday.

I felt like my post was long enough as it was (and I just could not bare to take anything out!), but my finishing touch on most any thank you or "just because" card is an encouraging Bible verse.

I typically try and save a whole side on a folded note card for writing out a verse, but if you are writing on a one-sided notecard, then the verse reference works just fine!

Here are just a few of my favorite verses to use that vary greatly depending on the situation and person:
  • "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
  • "I thank God whom I serve..as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day." 2 Timothy 1:3
  • "Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus" 1 Corinthians 1:3-4
  • "..You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:27
The above verses are in ESV (English Standard Version).

In a nutshell, my intentions when writing the verses is to let the person know they are loved, cared for, prayed for, a precious child of God, and that I am incredibly thankful for them!

    Some of my favorite verses I like to include in letters are:
    "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved."
